What's new:
- Upgraded perspectives. A new toggle "Custom perspective lock", will prevent any perspective switching during start-up. This is for those who set their view the way they like, but can't be bothered to use the next feature.
- 2nd upgrade is perspective override. All perspectives (custom lock is not a perspective), can now be customized. They still follow their usual hotkey / accelerators of Ctrl / Cmd + 1 - 5. To properly set it up, switch to a perspective, arrange it however which way you see fit, and hit the Save Perspective Layout button on the Quick Actions toolbar.
- The button to reset perspectives has been extended to allow the reset of any or all perspectives to the application defaults. It also now handles reset for preferences. A reset will effectively delete the selected settings, so do be advised. For those who haven't used this yet, this button has been moved from the Perspectives toolbar to Quick Actions.
- Included in this release is a cleaner / uninstaller, for users who want to do a re-installation. This simple tool, however, runs on the system Java, and not the dedicated on Mote uses. While we could created a choice at launch to either start Mote or do a reset, we opted to do this is to keep Mote immediately executable on a double-click, hitting enter etc., as this will be the majority of interactions with the launcher. The cleaner requires Java 6, or greater, to run.
- To partner with this, you can now export and backup any data folder component for restoration later. The control for this can be found on the toolbar, right beside the Relaunch button. The exported zip will be found in your data folder.
- Added toggle for deep and shallow searching in the Asset Library window. Shallow searching will only be done on the currently selected root or directory. A deep search will traverse into a root's sub-directories, so be careful of selecting the topmost directory, if you have a huge library of images.
- The management aspect of the sound feature has been improved. Users can now flush the entire audio cache system by using flushAudioCache(). A control in the UI under the Tools menu, can also be used. For selective cleaning, use clearAudioAsset(<reference>) where "reference" is a string argument. Valid references to the audio asset are the alternate ID / display name, file name (not the entire path), the asset source (original file path or URL), or the asset id hash i.e. the file name w/o extension of a properly converted file. Be careful when using alt ID as reference, as this will erase all items in the cache that have this.
- After much vacation time not used for vacationing, rewrote checks for macro execution from chat input, completing scheme into permission to execute by role. Users w/ Macro Writer permission or greater, can freely run macros from chat without needing to have to start it all with "/s ". Stuff sent by Player-type users will still be evaluated as literal. Do note that, since this is affects a significant portion of the Mote code, new issues may have been introduced. Don't look at us, look for someone with fairly long ears, pinkish fur, and has a nickname that starts with "V".
